Twitter CEO talks Trump ban on leaked video

By: V4 Agency

“This is going to be much bigger than just one account,” Twitter’ CEO Jack Dorsey is heard saying in a recording obtained by Project Veritas.

James OKeefe, an American conservative investigative journalist, and Project Veritas, a group he founded, have released another revealing video, this time about Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

In a clip filmed by a Twitter employee, Dorsey is talking about banning US President Donald Trump.

“We are focused on one account [@realDonaldTrump] right now but this is going to be MUCH BIGGER than just one account & its going to go on for much longer (…) I don’t believe this is going away anytime soon” the CEO said.

Dorsey also said the United States was “extremely divided.”

“Our platform is showing that every single day. And our role is to protect the integrity of that conversation and do what we can to make sure that no one is being harmed based off that,” he said.

This is not the first time Project Veritas has busted Twitter.

In a video clip recorded with a hidden camera in 2018, a former Twitter engineer makes reference to one of the company’s strategies called “shadow banning”.

“One strategy is to shadow ban so you have ultimate control. The idea of a shadow ban is that you ban someone but they don’t know they’ve been banned, because they keep posting and no one sees their content,” Abhinav Vadrevu explained in the video.

The software engineer also said they can turn off all the features for people, which means that others can still like or retweet their posts, but at the end of the day no one else interacts, no one else sees what they are doing.

Vadrevu admitted that the practice “is risky”.

“People will figure that sh*t out. (…) It’s like, unethical in some way,” he said.
