Pundit says Putin cannot win war in Ukraine in the long run

By: J.S., STA

Denis Mancevič, a former diplomat serving in Moscow, assessed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had started a war that he would not be able to win in the long run.

He believes that the war in Ukraine could also prove to have a fateful bearing on Putin’s presidency and future existence of the Russian Federation. He does not think the world is at the doorstep of a Third World War, but says this is the worst security crisis in Europe since the end of the Cold War that will have long-term consequences.
