Message to Biden: “Be a man!”

By V4 Agency

Answering a question on US television channel ABC, US President Joe Biden recently called Russian President Vladimir Putin a killer. In his moderate response, Mr Putin wished Mr Biden good health and invited him for an online debate in the upcoming days. On Friday, Biden reacted:the conversation will definitely take place “at some point.”

In an ABC television interview aired on Wednesday, US President Joe Biden answered a question as to whether he considered Putin a killer in the affirmative and also said the Russian president would “pay” for the alleged Russian interference in the US presidential election.

President Putin responsed the following day by wishing Biden good health and proposed to continue the dialogue live online as soon as possible, suggesting Friday or Monday as the day.

White House spokesperson Jennifer Psaki – whose return to the White House was gleefully awaited by Russian pundits – ruled out a Friday meeting at a Thursday press conference, saying President Biden was “very busy.” Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported on Friday that Biden replied “at some point” he will have a conversation with his Russian counterpart.

The Kremlin has stated that should there be no official concrete response from the US in a reasonable time, it will be viewed as a rejection of dialogue.

Not only have opinions been critical of Biden calling the Russian president a “killer,” but also of the message that the US president appears to not as yet be prepared to engage in dialogue with the Russian leader.

Republican Congressman Matt Goetz discussed the outcome of a possible Biden-Putin debate on Fox News with Sean Hannity. The Republican politician said that should the discussion take place between the two presidents, it would “not end like Rocky IV.” The Congressman was of course alluding to the bloody fight between the American and Russian boxers in the film, where the American side reaped both a physical and moral victory. “I don’t think the American would prevail,” Goetz concluded.

On Friday, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadirov outright called on President Biden to accept Putin’s offer for dialogue, not to “evade” the conversation.

Yes, be a man, Joe Biden!” he said, calling on the US president to take responsibility for his statements. “If you have something to say, say it,” he urged. The pro-Russian Chechen leader in response to Biden considering Putin a killer, said the US president was “a threat to all of humanity.”
