Judit Varga: Migration should be stopped, not supported and promoted

Justice Minister Judit Varga wrote on her Facebook page on Wednesday that the Hungarian government’s position is that immigration should not be supported and promoted, but rather stopped.

While the whole world is busy fighting the coronavirus, the left in Brussels has once again put immigration propaganda on the agenda, Judit Varga’s contribution continues.

The Brussels elite had discussed another migration report * that contained no proposals to strengthen border protection or to end illegal migration, while at the same time calling for resettlement to Europe, citing human rights, she wrote. She added that this shows “Brussels’ distance from people’s problems”.

The minister said that “the left is trying to hide behind a pampered slogan of solidarity to cover up problems” rather than working to solve them.

“If we really want to help our fellow human beings in need, migration must be tackled locally and the causes of migration eliminated,” she emphasized. Hungary has long recognized this and will continue to take serious steps with the Hungary Aid Program so that everyone can live in peace in their country.

“It would be ‘timely’ for Brussels to finally focus on people’s real problems,” wrote Judit Varga.

*) In the plenary session on Wednesday, the European Parliament debated a report on legal migration to alleviate the labor shortage.
