The Danish branch of the Generation Identity movement has recently organised an interesting competition. They handed out flyers on the streets of Copenhagen, inviting the Syrian refugees to participate in a competition with the prize being a free trip back to Syria.

The identitarians were dressed in Hawaii-style shirts while handing out the flyers. As they have published on their website, any Syrian refugee older than 18 years can participate. This symbolic action that highlights the need for remigration comes after the Danish government announced in February that it is safe for most of the refugees to return home. The Danish authorities told those Syrians that received asylum that it is time to go home.

But as the Identitarians said there approximately 43,000 Syrians and their descendants living in Denmark. If the government policies are to have any effects, they should return home, and as the Identitarians say, roll up their sleeves and rebuild their homeland.

The identitarian action, calling on to refugees to return to “sunny Syria” had mixed reactions, as some of the immigrants and refugees were not too happy with the generous offer of the Generation Identity to pay one of them a one-way ticket home.
