Borut Rončevič: “The business model of the party Levica is encouraging envy and laziness, which is why they will oppose any reform of the system”

Ever since the hearing of Borut Rončevič, then still a candidate for minister of education, the left and Levica have been entrenched in their positions.

This is exclusively because at the time, the candidate announced an extensive reform of the school system, where there would be no room for indoctrinating children according to the model and wishes of the Slovenian left‑wing political bloc. Even when Borut Rončevič took over the leadership of the ministry, this anger on the left did not subside.

Today, however, it is becoming increasingly clear that the problem is not only the school system, but also the field of finance, where Levica likewise opposes every reform. As ministry reviews have shown, this is exclusively because, in their view, there would then be too little money left for the privileged groups who were given funds in the previous term beyond the capacity of the state budget.

Because of this, the minister of education sends the following message to Levica: “The party Levica and the left in general continue with their business model, which is based on encouraging envy and laziness. In the school reform, we will emphasise promoting values such as curiosity, creativity, diligence, and ambition. Since these values raise people who are immune to envy and laziness, the left and leftists will oppose the reform. No problem.”
