Slovenia’s rider Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) won the Belgian one-day classic Liege-Bastogne-Liege in what is his sixth win this season and 23rd overall, as his compatriot Primož Roglič failed to defend the title.
Pagačar is thus the second Slovenian rider to win this race, while he also won the 2020 Tour de France for a double Slovenian victory with Roglič.
