At border crossings with Austria, at midnight, as part of national measures to curb the spread of the new coronavirus, checkpoints were set up to check the health status of foreigners entering Slovenia.
So far, this shows that there is no problem crossing the border. “We have not yet denied entry to any passengers since the introduction of the condition check until 12 noon,” the Maribor Police Directorate, which covers the border crossings of Jurij, Sentilj (old and highway) and Trata, told STA.
Since midnight, the controls are carried out at a total of 13 border crossings with Austria, and the same conditions of entry as from Italy apply. Only foreign nationals are checked.
