Around noon on Friday a citizen notified the Celje Police Department about a group of illegal immigrants in the Rogatec area. Shortly after the report, border police tracked down five Afghan citizens who had entered Slovenia illegally.

Following the official procedures, all migrants applied for asylum. We thank the citizen for the information about illegal migrants.

On Saturday, four Iraqi citizens, who illegally crossed the state border, were located in Nimno, near Rogaška Slatina. Following the official procedures, all migrants applied for asylum. Again, a “magic” word that opens the door to a “refugee-migrant paradise. And burdens the budget, I would add.

On Saturday, in Kunšperk we located eight more migrants from Bangladesh and two from Pakistan, who all entered Slovenia illegally. After the official procedures were completed, they were handed over to the Croatian security authorities.

Border crossings in the area of the Celje Police Department, despite their unattractiveness and remoteness, are still a bait for “happiness” seekers and their companions who bring and leave them to the will of goddess of happiness or in other words, to a suitable time to cross into Schengen Europe and further into the land or their dreams: “Germany”! …

The police and border authorities must remain vigilant and professional. Pressures on Europe to take care of the illegal migrants will continue for awhile.

No backing down!
