The year when the waste multiplied

By: Jože Biščak

Many naively believe that the center-right government must fall, as this is the only way Slovenia can avoid chaos and social unrest. This could not be more wrong brainwashed thinking. Janez Janša and his ministerial team are not the cause of today’s “street” events, these are the result of dissatisfaction of coalition partners with Marjan Šarec, who cowardly escaped from Gregorčič street at the beginning of the year before the responsibility of solving the health crisis, which is still facing not only our country, but the whole world, especially Europe. Tonin’s Nova Slovenia party, Počivalšek’s SMC party and (then still Pivec’s) DeSUS party managed to find so much wisdom during the political crisis, and looked in the mirror to see things as they were: that they are not in a soap bubble maintained by Šarec’s (unsalted) jokes, and that they do not share their life experiences with a man who is an “Olympic” champion in throwing in the towel. Quite a few people miss this critical consideration.

In the expiring year, we have walked in important but also dangerous times. On the one hand, there was (and still is) a deadly Chinese virus that, with the help of diligent scientists and their rapid discovery of the vaccine, will obviously be defeated (although the long-term consequences of the virus and vaccine are not yet known). And this is a miracle that we can (cautiously) celebrate. On the other hand, there were the left-wing and its activists. Very loudly (even before the cabinet was approved at all) they demanded resignation, frightened with the alleged establishment of an authoritarian regime, wrote and whined to all possible and impossible addresses, forged, mislead, lied and manipulated, protested and rumbled. When that did not help, they began threatening political, ideological, and other government supporters; even with death. Wildly oscillating waves of hatred they have been triggering, keep on lasting. And they will continue until they get what they want – the power. From there, they will continue where they were at least partially intersected. By enforcing evolutionary socialism based on progressive doctrines, the mortal enemies of freedom.

Socialism has always and everywhere crashed into a concrete wall. Experimenting with social justice, collectivism, and redistribution (where most of the wealth thus gained has landed in the hands of the socialist elite) has always returned individual countries (of course not all) to the path of natural development of society with fundamental values such as freedom of speech, inviolability of human life, private property, and limited government power.

Leftists today do not resort to radical (murderous) methods of »conversion« of the population, as Stalin, Mao Zedong, or Tito did, rather they rely more on gradual indoctrination, faitfully followed by the media mainstream, and (recently) threats to those thinking differently. This is a cultural war fueled by leftists in the name of a freely very limited liberal democracy. With very sophisticated appraches, they continue their revolution there where it came to a halt after the fall of the Berlin Wall, when the planet seemed large enough for different views of the world.

It may seem excessive to some, but we have already crossed the threshold of the civil war. The line of peaceful conflict of opinion and standpoints, which is charasteristic of free and democratic countries, has been crossed. Slovenian leftists are proving that they are not only concerned with cultural dominance (they have this stage victory in their pocket), but they also want political power for themselves and their subsystems. Just look at the panic that arises when the government shuns the funding of (elite) NGOs, although (in the latter case) there was a proposal for taxpayers to decide for themselves and freely which organisation they will give their share of income tax to. Therefore, they also do not tolerate anyone else ruling, but themselves. Then they use this power reflexively (in order to maintain the advantage) to restrict freedom and create a kind of just society or state.

A real explosive mixture is formed when leftists doctrines are paired with each other. Sooner or later it bursts. And then they question and  wonder, as countless times before in history, what went wrong. Despite thinking about it thourughly. Well yeah. As if it is so hard to understand that man is most natural when he is free.
