Kučan’s edict

By: Jože Biščak

Milan Kučan rarely speaks. Not because he would be afraid that the inflation of his opinions would devalue, but because he does not have to. It is enough that he tightens positions at a veteran’s meeting or in a public debate, and the operatives of the deep state are already activating obedient soldiers for the (final) showdown. Democracy instantly becomes an empty shell; the paradoxes that follow run counter to any definition of freedom; physical violence under the banner of anti-fascism becomes a legitimate defence against ideological opponents; bullying, discrediting, lying, and manipulation are the self-preserving instincts of useful idiots remotely controlled from a living room in a neighbourhood where the streets bear the melodious names of trees. Yes, Kučan’s edicts (still) have this power.

The target of the last leader of the Communist Party is always (more or less) the same – Janez Janša. When some time ago, he did not obey and became a servant of the idea of a deep state for Slovenia to live in its image, he sealed his destiny for life. Attempts to turn the current Prime Minister into a political corpse followed intervals according to the same recipe: first the preparation and determining the route, the gradual agitation of the public, the appearance of Milan Kučan, who with the support of hegemonic media mobilises the judiciary, law enforcement, and so-called civil society and – the grand finale. From the JBTZ affair through Depala vas to Patria; it all ended the same. What will follow the last performance of the Grand Master of the Red Lodge, we shall soon find out. It is not long before the (preliminary or regular) elections, which should restore red “democracy”, chaos enthusiasts who have won public praise from Kučan and received cookies have been warming up for several months, the case with Vizjak is only an intermediate station of this plan.

It is completely illogical to common sense: how people fall prey to propaganda over and over again. But the hope that they will nevertheless ignore and not be intimidated by the announcement that terrorism and street violence will end when there is no longer a right-leaning government remains. Only a small effort of the grey cells is necessary for a man to wake up from mental numbness, set up a defensive wall, and begin to think with his head; not in the way the left wing media offers him an explanation of events with meaningless words and glued-up images. It is also good to keep your eyes wide open, because that is the only way you can understand what you see, and in this way you do not allow history to repeat itself. It will be necessary to stand up, speak out, and fight against evil plans, because this is not the first time this has happened. Lessons need to be learned, but learning should not take too long, otherwise it will be too late.

The upcoming elections will be decisive

Although Kučan’s last performance in Šentjanž was full of lies, manipulations and distorted portrayal of reality, he was right about something. The upcoming elections will be decisive. After a decade of rule by naturalists (Alenka Bratušek, Miro Cerar, and Marjan Šarec), who turned the politics and functions of the Prime Minister into a caricature and handed over power to the deep state in full consciousness and voluntarily, the right wing government has finally shown that Slovenes deserve something better. Not only did Janša’s team return the government headquarters from Murgle to Gregorčičeva, start cutting parasites and, despite the deadly epidemic, keep the economy in good condition (which is evident in the wallets of all citizens), it also put Slovenia back on the map of Europe and the world, even though it was constantly receiving spokes in its wheel. A parallel system would not tolerate, or not survive another such self-confident and proud mandate with a center-right government. They know that damn well.

When we draw the line, it is all up to us, dear readers. So we, good people, need to ask ourselves: How willing are we to sacrifice ourselves so that our descendants can live in a free country and a normal environment? How much is this generation willing to do for the homeland of our grandparents? Is it willing to give up comfort and convenience from this moment on?

It is literally about survival. Also Sloveneness in these places. I know for myself that I would be ashamed from up there when I would look down at my child, who would say, “Dad was there, but he did not try to do or change anything. He was a coward.”
