A Croat was transporting eleven migrants in a van, while an Afghan was stuck in a storm

In the last 24 hours, police officers have dealt with 29 illegal migrants in the area of the Koper Police Administration.

At 10.25 am we received information that a driver of a van at Podgrad most who most likely picked up illegal migrants. Police stopped him in Gradišče pri Materiji. The van was driven by a 42-year-old Croatian citizen, and there were 11 other illegal migrants in the vehicle (8 citizens of Bangladesh and 3 citizens of Pakistan). Proceedings are still ongoing.

Police caught 14 Afghan citizens near Hrušica. At 4.35 am, an Afghan citizen called for help. He said they were somewhere in the hills where they were caught in a storm.

Police tracked them down near the village of Zagrad (turned on sound and light signals on the vehicle to find a group of migrants), namely 4 Afghan nationals, among whom was an 8-year-old child who needed a doctor. With PHE he was taken to SB Izola.
