For the savage arsonists and their leaders hidden from the public eye, the arson of the migrant centre on Lesbos was a great success.
The Austrian portal unzenzurirt.at reports that earlier today, the Greek authorities transported the first seven hundred migrants from Lesbos to the vicinity of Piraeus in mainland Greece. They will be followed on Thursday by another group of 2,300 illegal migrants. The remaining 10,000 migrants who once lived in the Mori migrant centre, which is now burnt to the ground, will probably be relocated in October, but it is not yet known whether they will also be relocated to mainland Greece or to migrant centres on other islands. Due to the fact that other centres are mostly overcrowded with migrants, relocation to the mainland seems a liker option.
“Intermediaries” on the Balkan migrant route are pleased as they are looking forward to the new clientele, reports the portal. This move by the Greek authorities is also an incentive for illegal migrants on the other Greek islands to burn down their centres and be rewarded with a relocation to the mainland from where they will be able to continue their journey towards Western Europe, writes unzenzurirt.at.
