Police on the Greek island of Lesvos have arrested an Afghan male at the Moria migrant camp after he stabbed a fellow Afghan asylum seeker.
According to police, the 21-year-old victim was rushed to the intensive care unit at Mytilini hospital following a knife fight with a fellow Afghan, aged 18, who was taken into police custody on Saturday evening, Proto Thema reports.
It’s the second knife attack to occur at the camp in 24 hours.
On Friday afternoon, a 23-year-old Afghan woman was stabbed to death by another Afghan women, also aged 23, at the Moria migrant camp.
After initially escaping to the mountains after the murder had taken place, the murderer was arrested shortly after. She’s currently being held at the Mytilene police station.
