Federal prosecutors in Germany say that they have charged three Iraqi refuges with planning an Islamic extremist bomb attack.

On Wednesday, prosecutors formally accused Shahin F. and Hersh F. of preparing acts of violence and Sarkawt N. of assisting the two, the Associated Press reports.

The Iraqi asylum seekers last names have been withheld from the public as per German privacy laws.

German prosecutors said that the trio was planning “an Islamic extremist attack”. However, since authorities haven’t found any links between the three and any specific terrorist organization, the group will not face terrorism charges.

It’s alleged that the group placed an order for a detonator from a contact in Britain but failed to receive it because authorities were able to catch up with and arrest the dealer.
