Finn was transporting Turkish illegals

Police officers from Brežice Police Station stopped a Kia Ceed car with Finnish registration plates while performing state border protection tasks in the Čatež ob Savi area. During the proceedings, it was established that a 53-year-old man from Finland was transporting four Turkish citizens who had previously illegally crossed the state border in a vehicle.

The Finn was taken into custody and his car was confiscated. He will be brought before an investigative judge with a criminal complaint for the criminal offense of prohibited crossing of the state border or territory. Police proceedings with Turkish citizens have not yet been completed.

Attempts to evade border control

On December 5th, a truck driver with Serbian licence plates arrived at the Obrežje border crossing to Slovenia. Police officers caried out a border control and, while inspecting the truck, discovered two Afghan citizens who were hiding among the cargo in order to avoid the border control and enter Slovenia illegally. Moreover, two Afghan citizens were found in a truck with Turkish licence plates, and a Moroccan citizen was found on the chassis of a truck with Serbian licence plates. Foreigners, who tried to avoid border control and enter Slovenia illegally were handed over to the Croatian security authorities after the procedures were completed.

During the control of a freight train coming to Slovenia from Hungary, police officers from Dobova Border Police Station found two Pakistani citizens on the landing of one of the wagons, who were trying to avoid border control. After the procedure was completed, they were handed over to the Croatian police.

Illegally crossed the state border

Police officers from Novo mesto Police Department tracked down and arrested eight Egyptian citizens in the Prilip area, and three Afghan citizens in Črnomelj area while performing state border protection tasks. Police proceedings with foreigners who have illegally crossed the state border have not yet been completed.
