Last night, police officers in the area of the Kočevska river noticed a vehicle with Italian license plates, with a suspicion that there were people in the vehicle who had illegally crossed the state border. The driver repeatedly ignored the signs of the blue light and the siren, so he was forced to stop, also using barbed tape.

In the proceedings, it was established that the Italian driver was transporting four people in the vehicle who had fled the scene. Police then arrested two Sudanese nationals who had illegally crossed the state border in addition to the driver, and two people are still wanted. An Italian citizen has been deprived of liberty on suspicion of a criminal offense of prohibited crossing of the state border or the territory of the country, and the procedures and activities of police officers in connection with foreigners are still ongoing.

Police officers from the Ljubljana Police Department encountered seven more illegal migrants from Pakistan near Bosljiva Loka.
