The Social Democrats Are Mocking the Victims of the Epidemic! They Used the Day of Remembrance of the Dead for a Dirty Political Campaign!

On the Day of Remembrance of the Dead, the SD party reminded everyone that a society cannot be run with decrees, threats and rudeness, but only with respectful communication. To this day, they have clearly still not realised that this is not a matter of running a society but a matter of protecting the health of all citizens. To this day, they have also still not realised that with their calls for protests and the tearing down of measures, they are more than just partially responsible for all 4,755 deaths of the people who died due to covid. Why do they not use the “respectful communication” they like to talk about so much to call for people to get vaccinated and follow the measures, why are they not setting a good example for the people? Because their only purpose is to overthrow the current government – even though they are completely unsuccessful in this endeavour.

Yesterday, an avalanche of criticism hit the Social Democrats party and its leader, Tanja Fajon. Namely, the party wrote on its social media profile: “Every victim is one victim too many. Today, there would be 4,755 flags in this meadow in memory of the victims of the epidemic. This year, on the 1st of November, we are dedicating our memory to all those we lost during the epidemic. Due to infections and the significantly impaired access to healthcare services.” This is like a spit on the grave of all 4,755 dead. Sabotaging and tearing down the government’s measures, all you know is how to be hypocritical, was only one of the many comments that all had a common denominator – the SD party is among the main culprits for the high number of covid deaths.

City Councillor Borut Rojc commented on the Social Democrats’ post, writing that the 1st of November is a Day of Remembrance of the Dead and not a day for a dirty political campaign. He also published a photo showing the SD party’s call for a school without masks, which resulted in a higher number of infections.

The SD party also wrote that two insights were necessary for better risk management in the future, namely, the realisation that public healthcare must remain our highest priority and the realisation that society cannot be run with decrees, threats and rudeness, but only with respectful communication. They added that this is something that should be kept in mind even during the upcoming wave of the epidemic.

However, we would like to add that the SD party should also come to a realisation one day – namely, that sabotaging the anti-corona legislative measures will not result in the overthrow of the current government but will only further harm the citizens of Slovenia – including the party’s electoral base. With their actions, they are harming the health of all citizens, and the empty words they then serve on a silver platter, like in the post mentioned above, change nothing. People are not stupid, and nobody believes their empty promises anymore. This will undoubtedly prove to be true at the next election as well. Hopefully, by then, they will have caused as few unnecessary deaths as possible.
