In Slovenia, 6156 people were tested for infection with the new coronavirus by 2pm, and 219 people were confirmed to be infected. The most infected, 73, are in the 30-49 age group, the government announced on Twitter. The number of men and women confirmed to be infected is almost the same.

As is evident from the data by 10am, when 216 cases were confirmed, 17 were confirmed among the youngest under 15 years of age. In the next age group up to 29, 45 are infected. Most confirmed cases are between 30 and 49 years of age. The number of confirmed infections then declines. Between the ages of 50 and 59, 41 infections have been confirmed and 40 infections over the age of 60.

Among the confirmed infections there are 107 women and 109 men, according to data from the National Institute of Public Health published by the government.

Due to the spread of the infectious disease sars-cov-2, Slovenia has declared an epidemic and introduced a number of measures to curb its spread. Among other things, public passenger transport will be stopped, and pubs, outlets, schools and kindergartens will be closed from Monday on.
