The left nearly ended up on life support just because the Palestinian flag was removed – what will happen when all the revelations about their governing come out?

By: Celjski glasnik

After there was no way back anymore, and after the former coalition, or rather Svoboda and Levica, failed in their attempt to discredit the MPs of the Democrats and Resni.ca, and Slovenia got a new government, they simply could not cope with the fact that the Palestinian flag was removed from the government building.

This is the only logical move by the new government, since Palestine has no actual connection to Slovenia that would justify its flag hanging on the government building. Yet for two years we witnessed a precedent in which the flag of a state with no relation to Slovenia’s status or any official state visit was displayed on the government façade.

Naturally, RTV Slovenia also joined this propaganda effort, as expected, for them, one of the main news stories was the removal of the flag, rather than what the new government might uncover after the departure of the previous ruling team. If the left is so deeply troubled by the removal of the Palestinian flag, what else will come to light once the transfer of power is complete and the new ministers fully take over their duties?

Another interesting detail in this whole story is that DARS, immediately after the confirmation of Slovenia’s 16th government, suddenly found workers and was able to organise night‑shift operations. Recall that this was supposedly impossible during Alenka Bratušek’s time as minister, yet right after the new government took office, everything began to run smoothly. The former coalition is convinced someone was sabotaging them. Who? Money?
