Three Slovenian researchers win prestigious EU grants

The European Commission today announced the results of the European Research Council (ERC) 2019 call for renowned researchers, including three Slovenian winners, two from the Jozef Stefan Institute (IJS) and one from the Chemical Institute.

According to IJS, the winners of ERC Advanced Grant 2019 funding from their institute are Peter Križan, who will receive funding for the FAIME project, and Igor Muševič, who has applied for the LOGOS project.

The ERC also supported a five-year project by Matei Praprotnik, head of the theoretical department at the Institute of Chemistry, which raised about 2.5 million for a five-year project called MULTraSonicA (Multiscale modeling and simulation approaches for biomedical ultrasonic applications).
