A recent study has found that over a million people in the UK are named after Disney characters – and the trend is rising.
If you’ve been keeping an eye on the news recently, you might have seen that the most popular baby names for 2019 were revealed.
And while the favourites were monikers such as Olivia and Oliver, it seems that there’s still a big preference for baby names inspired by Disney movies.
A study by travel company Florida4Less, has found that more than a million (1.05 million) people in the UK are named after Disney characters.
The research revealed that names taken from animated classics such as Toy Story, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast have rocketed in popularity since the turn of the last decade.
