Man berated for getting ‘too big a Christmas tree’ – no one else sees a problem

A man who said he was told off for returning home with a Christmas tree that was ‘too big’ for the house was fiercely defended on social media, as other identified the real source of the problem.

Being charged with the all important task of heading out to secure the tree for Christmas is a job not to be taken likely.

What you return with will become the centre point of your Christmas celebrations and the main source of which your visiting family and friends will rightly judge you on.

After making the choice between a real or artificial tree (there is a right answer here), the one you select will either embody your excitement for the festive holiday in conifer form or expose you as the Grinch you are.

One man who clearly takes the job seriously is James Delingpole, who took to Twitter to post a photo of the magnificent specimen he picked out.
