Michael Keaton ‘to return as Batman with Michelle Pfieffer’s Catwoman also a possibility’

Michael and Michelle famously played Batman and Catwoman in Tim Burton’s iconic 1992 superhero film Batman Returns – while alternate universe plots of the upcoming The Flash movie could see both actors return to their legendary roles

Michael Keaton has stunned fans by hinting he is set to return to screens as Batman – while hopes have now been raised that Michelle Pfeiffer will reprise her iconic role as Catwoman. 

The superheroes are tipped to return to screens in the upcoming The Flash film directed by Andy Muschietti and starring Justice League star Ezra Miller as Barry Allen. 

For many Batman fans, 68-year-old Michael is the definitive Batman after playing the title role in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman and the 1992 sequel Batman Returns.

The role of Bruce Wayne – aka Batman – has since been played on the big screen by George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck, while Robert Pattinson is set to play the character in The Batman, due for release next year.
