Inside Jamie Oliver and Jools’ glamorous life – £9m mansion, five kids and global empire

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools build his business empire from scratch – but now it’s come crashing down around them.

Jamie Oliver has come under fire this week for sending an email to more than 1,000 of his staff telling them they no longer have jobs.

The celebrity chef told employers he was “devastated” that nearly all of his Jamie’s Italian restaurants were being shut down after his group entered administration on Tuesday. 

Jamie signed off his mass email with “big love as ever” and assured staff he’d paid their salaries up to date so they wouldn’t be left out of pocket “for the great work you’ve done”.
