On Sunday, March 13th, two years have passed since the confirmation and swearing in of the third Janša coalition government (SDS, SMC, NSi, and DeSUS); the government, which had to deal immediately with the state of emergency caused by the new coronavirus epidemic; a government led for the third time by the SDS president, which the transitional left has tried to remove from the political stage by perverted political abuse of law enforcement and the judiciary in recent decades, but has failed. Under his leadership, the SDS even won the last parliamentary elections by a wide margin.
When Marjan Å arec, as Prime Minister, threw in the towel in early 2020, his disintegrated left-wing government was replaced by the centre-right government, as it was not afraid of the challenges this turbulent time brought. With a lot of diligence and creative energy, it faced the crisis and helped all sections of the population and the economy with as many as ten anti-crisis law packages. At Saturdayâs gala academy of the SDS in Ljubljana, Janez JanÅ¡a was rightly attached to the sentence of Dr JoÅŸe PuÄnik âIt is about Sloveniaâ, which, in his words, they had in front of their eyes two years ago, when they put âSloveniaâs interest before the partyâs interestsâ when they took over the government, as they âsaved lives, health and the country from chaosâ. âWe were harassed at every turn. They even threatened us with death. Nevertheless, we moved on and persevered to the end.â The government can confidently boast that our country has emerged from the crisis very successfully and had record economic growth last year. Both wages and pensions have increased significantly. At the same time, JanÅ¡a managed to agree on as much as 12 billion euros from the Recovery and Development Fund in Brussels. As a result, âthousands of development projectsâ are underway in all municipalities in Slovenia, some of which have already been completed, some of which have not yet been or have just been approved. Finally, a personal income tax law was passed on Friday at the suggestion of the government coalition, which will increase the net salary of all employees in Slovenia.
Well, on the other hand, we have the left opposition, which for two years only harassed and opposed the governmentâs actions and tried to overthrow it in all possible and impossible ways. It failed and today, just a good month before the election, it has nothing to show voters. Nothing. Just unwise left-wing destructiveness that has benefited no one.
A good month before the election, government parties can boast of the results of their work, while the left-wing opposition can only boast of destructiveness.
