Matteo Salvini’s leading Italy’s League is now the most popular political party in Italy. A nationwide electoral poll puts them at 33.8 per cent, as revealed Saturday. The highest popularity in Italy’s history, reports Voice of Europe.
IPSOS research group inquired about citizen’s voting intentions in their monthly survey finding that the Five Star Movement (M5S), Italy League’s partner in the current coalition government, has fallen by 1.5 per cent during the past month to 28.5 per cent.
From mid-July to now, there is a three per cent drop for M5S, increasing the polarity between the coalition partners.
However, approval ratings of the coalition government and of the prime minister are still quite high. The coalition government has a rating of 64 per cent and Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte holds an admirable 67 per cent rating.
