Our homegrown pathological narcissists

By: Branko Koderman

Will there be enough of a “constitutional majority of reason” in the next Slovenian elections for common sense to return to Slovenian politics and society? How many left‑leaning, self‑declared free‑thinking citizens will come to their senses, and how many previously passive voters will realise that they must engage in politics if they do not want to be “condemned to be ruled by idiots”? And what share of at least three generations of high‑school students, shaped into narcissists by the “points‑producing factory”, will break out of that mold?

According to the classification manual “DS‑4,” pathological narcissists dominate within personality‑related social and character disorders, and they are also listed as a separate clinical category. In the recent phase of the Marxist cultural war against Western civilisation, narcissists have emerged as a central object of scientific study. Individuals with narcissistic personality traits are the “soldiers of the revolution” of today’s woke movement. For them, words, sentences, promises, commitments, and written or spoken messages are merely tools for gaining power and control over other people, always, everywhere, and in every possible interpersonal relationship. They are hollow personalities without values, which is why they can manipulate anyone without the slightest remorse. Pathological narcissists are marked by the undesirable traits of the “dark triad,” by sadism, and by the ideology of the “cult of death.”

The “dark triad” includes psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism. Put simply: caricatured, the “unbalanced parasitic predator,” the psychopath – someone who, regardless of the consequences for others, parasitises on the resources of the community for personal gain, devoid of empathy. Then the “self‑admiring, self‑important fantasist,” the narcissist – someone who imagines themselves extraordinarily important and irreplaceable, entitled to an undeserved or high leadership position in society, and who rejects any objection or discussion of that entitlement with disgust. And finally, the “cunning, deceitful trickster,” the Machiavellian – someone who deliberately exploits the ignorance, goodwill, and weaknesses of others to gain their trust, securing their public and silent support when it comes to his position in society and his utopian projects.

The sadist: a tormentor and humiliator. Someone who feels satisfied, or even derives pleasure, when placing another person in discomfort or uncertainty, slandering and insulting them, humiliating them publicly or privately, or subjecting them to psychological and physical torment, even killing them. For individuals of the “dark triad,” sadism is as motivationally essential as it is for a tick to remain firmly attached to its host while drawing its blood.

The “cult of death”: a non‑religious, pagan‑like ritual glorification of killers and murderers of innocent and helpless victims. The victims of such cults are always people from our immediate community: family, relatives, neighbours, village and local communities, towns, regions, nations and states, religious, cultural, or ethnic groups, societies of Western‑Enlightenment origin, and Judeo‑Christian civilisation. Ideologies and social‑consciousness constructs that irrationally support such cults, and thereby dull the minds of Slovenian children, youth, and adult voters, are abundant in Slovenia. From old revolutionary and communist ideas to newer carbon‑neutral and transgender ideologies, and even the recently resurfaced primitive and brutal antisemitism.

Pathological narcissism is not natural or genetically predetermined. There may be some biological predisposition, but it is mostly acquired or learned in childhood and adolescence. In our “Gabro school,” through the principles of instrumental conditioning and model learning.
