The Leftists Have Joined The Pogrom Against An Academic

By: Domen Mezeg (Nova24tv.si)

The far left has cruelly attacked the AI pioneer Matjaž Gams, who used Hitler for a comparison he made during a recent interview. He wanted to make the point that powerful people, rulers, often mean well for civilisation (and the leftists surely understand this!), even though the results can be quite the opposite. Prominent members of the left were quick to accuse him of (neo)Nazism. The representatives of the 8th of March Institute (Inštitut 8. marec) have also attacked Gams, as they have time to watch television shows while forgetting about their core mission – the active protection of drinking water in Ljubljana. And by the way: the leftists keep forgetting that National Socialism is also essentially socialism and, therefore, an extreme leftist ideology …

A few days ago, the pioneer of artificial intelligence, Professor Dr Matjaž Gams, was a guest on the national media outlet RTV Slovenia’s television show Intervju (Interview), where he tried to present artificial intelligence as something positive, saying that being afraid of it is unreasonable. He also warned against the destruction of science through ideology, which is often the case nowadays. In this context, he particularly highlighted the so-called culture of erasure. He added that humanity is far more threatened by low birth rates and nuclear technology than by IT (which is, in principle, man’s ally). He highlighted the pernicious global influence of the financial speculator George Soros and expressed his agreement with some of the views of the inventor Elon Musk. His thinking, however, has caused quite a stir among the left-wing activism/viewership of RTVS, which, for the first time in a long time, has finally heard something other than the “party truth.” Gams’s ideas and convictions could not be criticised all that easily, but they found the needle in the hay and, predictably, he was accused of (neo)Nazism …

Gams is also a victim of the culture of erasure: the”disturbing” television show where he was the guest was removed from the MMC archives!

On the show, Gams tried to say, among other things, that political leaders fundamentally want the good of civilisation – in line with their own interpretation of “good.” Some of them do it in a very perverted way, like Adolf Hitler, for example, and his actions had very “negative consequences,” as Gams put it. But Soros, for example, does not act according to his own internal interpretation of good. Gams also mentioned Musk, who even said of Soros that he was, in fact, “evil and wants to harm human civilisation.” On the left, Gams’s statement was immediately manipulated, and he was portrayed as a “(neo)Nazi”. The left-wing RTV activists were so shocked by the television show in question that they removed it from the archives on the national media outlet’s web portal MMC. This is a “deletion” of disturbing opinions, which is a direct consequence of the culture of deletion that Gams warned against on the show.

One of the first people to come after the expert was the left-wing extremist Domen Savič, known for his arrogant, condescending, and uncultured/hooligan behaviour. Savič (also known as “Citizen D “) wrote the following: “The show Interview with the host Vida Petrovčič and her guest Matjaž Gams, has once again provided several bizarre moments bordering on a crime against the intellect, but this excerpt should be considered as a promotion of neo-Nazism. With all the consequences that come with that.” Matej Tašner Vatovec, an MP from the Left party (Levica), also tried to accuse Gams of Nazism: “The show Interview never ceases to surprise me… Hitler did not, in fact, have good intentions that backfired – instead, he was consistent in his implementation of a set plan. Whoever uses the words ‘Hitler’ and ‘good intentions’ in the same sentence is promoting Nazism.” The Minister of Culture Asta Vrečko, also a member of the Left party, chimed in, too, writing: “An excerpt from the television show Interview with Matjaž Gams, a former State Councillor, who said: ‘… Because in my opinion, Hitler also meant well for human civilisation, but of course, the effect was very negative’. Such statements are reprehensible, inadmissible and vile, and they demand an apology.”

The “proud heirs” refuse to accept that Communism is as fundamentally criminal as Nazism!

At this point, let us remember Vatovec’s scandalous statement on the abolition of the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Communism, which is, in fact, a continuation of genocide by other means. Namely, he said: “In our opinion, the abolition of such decisions is, in our view, completely legitimate. It happened practically overnight, since, as you probably noticed as well, people were already gathering at the Republic Square.” And let’s not forget about the Minister of Culture’s visit to Čebine and the photographs taken of her standing before the monument to one of the greatest butchers of the 20th century – Josip Broz Tito. Mitja Iršič also pointed this out, writing that the Minister had used an equal justification for her attendance at a celebration honouring the establishment of a political movement which was, essentially, a terrorist organisation, which murdered more innocent Slovenians than Nazi soldiers.

Those who worship the criminal regime and the Balkan bloodthirsty leaders are suddenly the loudest. In addition, even the new President of the RTV Programme Council, Gorab Forbici, has defended communist crimes in the past. The fact that the heirs of the revolution find it so difficult to renounce the remnants of totalitarianism and condemn what it did is due, among other things, to a fundamental non-understanding of 20th-century totalitarianism. Both the Nazis and the Communists (from their misguided points of view!) were trying to build a better world, while neatly ignoring the sanctity of human life. Their aim justified any means necessary, or, as Boris Kidrič said, “Even if at the end of the fight there are only five Slovenians left alive, and they are all Communists, that will be a complete victory for us.”

Nika Kovač, what about clean drinking water in Ljubljana?

Finally, the 8th of March Institute (expectedly) also reacted to the show, writing: “In an interview on the national media outlet, a state official spoke about the good intentions of Adolf Hitler. This act is unacceptable. It is unacceptable that the journalist did not stop him. It is unacceptable that Matjaž Gams holds political office. This has happened on the national media outlet. On RTV, which has been politically hijacked over the last two years. Actions of this kind are unacceptable. It is our job to condemn them. Let us spread solidarity and hope.” Every show comes in handy for the politicking of the 8th of March Institute. Nika Kovač is dealing with all sorts of things, but is forgetting about the core mission – the active protection of clean drinking water in the capital. We are still waiting for a protest against the C0 sewage pipe. And by the way: the left likes to forget that National Socialism is also essentially socialism, and therefore, an extreme leftist ideology…
