After the government issued a decree last night declaring the COVID-19 epidemic for the entire country, the Civil Protection Commander issued a decision this morning to activate the national protection and rescue plan. This enables the state to use means for protection, rescue and assistance in addition to medical and other services.
The Ministry of Health will keep the Civil Protection Commander informed of the issuance of expert recommendations, and the latter will provide the necessary number of expert staff to ensure an appropriate operational response based on the current developments and needs.
In accordance with the plan, all bodies designated in the national protection and rescue plan in the event of an epidemic of an infectious disease are obliged to submit a daily report to the protection and rescue administration on the situation, activities and implemented measures.
