Dover migrants: 34 migrants rescued off Kent coast by border force as they bid to enter UK

UP TO 34 migrants have been rescued by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and border force officials off the coast of Dover.

Three border force boats and two rescue lifeboats took part in the mission. An RNLI spokesman said: “We can confirm that our lifeboats at Dungeness and Dover have launched today.”

A Home Office spokesman confirmed border force was “dealing with an ongoing small boat incident off the Kent coast”.

They were saved by RNLI before being transferred onto a border force boat.

Those rescued were given blankets, taken to the port of Dover and moved onto vans.

Sky News are reporting at women and children were among those found by border force and at least three men have been arrested on immigration offences.
