It came to light on Wednesday morning that Valerie De Bue, Minister of Public Service, Tourism, Heritage and Road Safety, had tested positive for the coronavirus, forcing the entire Walloon government into quarantine.
Ms De Bue said she was in good health, had no symptoms, and that she could continue working from home. Her last contact with fellow ministers was in a meeting on Friday, where all the health regulations in force were observed, according to a government statement. Ministers will, however, suspend their official activities and work remotely as a precaution. They have already been tested for the virus and the results are expected soon.
The work obviously continues and Thursday’s cabinet meeting will be held via videoconference, reads a statement by the Walloon government on the latest developments.
