“Viktor Orban has been prime minister for 14 years and 145 days”, thus becoming Hungary’s longest-serving head of government ever, writes Hungary’s justice minister in her new post on social media.

“Historical times, historical achievements, historical perspectives”, Judit Varga wrote.

The minister added that, prior to PM Viktor Orban, the “record” belonged to Kalman Tisza, who served as Hungary’s prime minister between 1875 and 1890.

“I wish you good health and much strength for all the work that’s ahead of us, Mr Prime Minister! Let’s go Hungary, let’s go Hungarians!” – JM Judit Varga concluded.
