Twitter partners with organisations close to Soros! Is Twitter a sinking ship into trouble for censoring?

Twitter is sinking ever deeper into trouble for censoring some New York Post articles that exposed the murky dealings of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. The case has prompted the US Senate to subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, but US stock market speculator George Soros’s network also emerges in the background.

The social media sites’ censoring of the New York Post’s story – which exposed the murky dealings of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden – caused quite some public uproar. First Twitter, and then Facebook, have refused to share Hunter Biden’s letters. Twitter didn’t simply block the letters themselves, but also its users from sharing or retweeting the original article on the story.

The decision, reminiscent of open censorship and designed to interfere in the elections, has also sparked an internal debate within the social media giant’s management. CEO Jack Dorsey issued a statement on Wednesday night, describing Twitter’s censorship as an unacceptable mistake.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz announced that the Senate Judiciary Committee will subpoena Mr Dorsey, who is due to testify next Friday.

This is not the first time Twitter has arbitrarily restricted free speech. The company’s so called “fact-checks” began to appear under certain tweets in May, including US President Donald Trump’s entries. It is interesting that Twitter glued a fact-check label right under President Trump’s tweet about mail-in ballots.

It is no coincidence that Trump’s tweets on mail-in ballots were fact-checked. Twitter has never advertised the fact that it is a so-called “premier partner” of the Vote Early Day (VED) organisation, an election advocacy group which informs voters of their opportunity to vote before election day, including by letter. VED is an organisation affiliated with the New Venture Fund (NVF).

The US will witness quite an unusual presidential race this autumn due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Democratic Party is doing its best to promote mail-in voting,…

NVF enjoys the financial support of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF). According to OSF’s official website, they received more than 4.5 million dollars from the foundation in 2018 alone.

The New Venture Fund also operates under the wing of Arabella Advisors, a strategic advocacy group with a shady background that promotes the interests of wealthy left-wing donors, among others. Arabella Advisors’ other organisation linked to Soros is the Sixteen Thirty Fund. According to OSF’s website, this organisation received 4.2 million dollars in 2018.

Vote Early Day, however, is not the only election initiative collaborating with Twitter. The tech giant is also a partner of National Voter Registration Day this year, which enjoys the support of Democracy Fund, founded by liberal billionaire Pierre Omidyar.

Similar to Soros, Omidyar also created a “philanthropic investment” company, which bears the rather extravagant Omidyar Network (ON) name. ON already partnered with OSF in 2009 and, in 2014, it supported a Myanmar news agency with 81,500 dollars through the Tides Foundation, which can also be linked to George Soros.
