The U.S. Embassy in Kabul issued a security warning Saturday morning, warning the 11,000 to 15,000 Americans who want to evacuate Afghanistan not to go to Kabul airport because of “security threats.”

What security threats exist for the Americans who are stuck in Afghanistan?

1. Al-Qaeda. According to numerous Western intelligence officials, the Taliban have just ceded control of Kabul to the Haqqani Network, an al-Qaeda-linked terrorist organization in Afghanistan, directly violating the talks in Qatar in which the Taliban promised the US not to turn the country into a haven for foreign terrorists like al-Qaeda.

2. ISIS. On Saturday, French intelligence sources reported that an ISIS-affiliated group, Isis Khorasan, had entered the capital’s airport (3) after condemning the Taliban as “apostates” for negotiating with the US “procedures for evacuating thousands of crusaders and spies in a climate of strong trust between the two sides” and failing to enforce Sharia law with enough zeal (1).

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters Tuesday that 11,000 U.S. citizens living in Afghanistan had registered with the State Department. According to the Washington Post (2), national security officials told Senate officials on Tuesday that there are up to 15,000 U.S. citizens in the country.

So there are between 11,000 and 15,000 Americans who are stuck in Kabul and the surrounding areas, which are now under the control of al-Qaeda, and who, if they want to leave the country, have to go to the airport where ISIS terrorists are located – that is not yet fully confirmed at the time of writing this report.

On Thursday morning, John Kirby, spokesman for the Department of Defense and retired Navy Rear Admiral, told a press conference that the U.S. military’s job is not to control the security around the airport that would allow U.S. citizens to evacuate, but only the airport itself.

For this reason, at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday morning, the U.S. Embassy in Kabul urged Americans not to go to the airport. To make matters worse, the State Department said it did not know exactly how many Americans were in Afghanistan and had no idea where they were, either in Kabul or the surrounding area.

“This information is not available to the U.S. military,” because “Americans don’t have to register when they come into the country,” Kirby said.

Conclusion
Joe Biden has instructed the U.S. military to leave Afghanistan without notifying U.S. citizens, without asking them to report to the embassy, without knowing where they live, and without ensuring their safety from home to the airport – but only inside the airport if they manage to cross the lines guarded by the Taliban, Al-Qaeda and now ISIS.
