Shortly after February 22, 2014, the problems with the Somali “protection seeker” Abdi M. (24) began after he came to the reception center for asylum seekers, short »Afa«, in Trier. Hardly in the country it came to the rape of a 16-year-old
Less than two weeks later, on March 3, 2014, he raped a 16-year-old girl in Trier and attacked a 21-year-old woman. One day after the crime, he was remanded in custody and the 24-year-old was sentenced to a juvenile sentence of six years by the Trier Regional Court on 1 October 2014, including for rape. Other crimes followed, even in the detention centre, where there were incidents with female staff, reports wochenspiegellive.de. The criminal was again convicted of exhibitionist acts in the detention centre (he had exposed himself in front of a staff member and an intern).

District to “obliged to take in and accommodate”

When the end of the detention was due, all alarm lights went on at the Cochem-Zell district. The reason: The asylum seeker was assigned to the district of Cochem-Zell in 2015 with a distribution order of the Supervisory and Service Directorate (ADD) Trier. Therefore, according to the state reception law, the district was “obliged to take in and accommodate.”

It is therefore not surprising that the district wanted to prevent by all means that the serious criminal comes to a place of the district Cochem-Zell. That is why (almost surprisingly) the asylum seeker was deported on 13 April. In a private jet.

Cost 106,045.31 euros to repatriate the criminal

The district administration was already aware at that time that the costs could be between 50,000 and 100,000 euros. Now – a good seven months later – the total costs are available. The Federal Police Headquarters has invoiced the district for the repatriation as part of a charter flight measure in the amount of 82,045.31 euros. In addition, there are another 20,000 euros in costs of the Federal Police Headquarters for security support, which together results in costs of 106,045.31 euros. And this in a country where pensioners who have worked for decades are fobbed off with a few hundred euros a month.
