“No one will be able to use this health crisis and economic tragedy to keep pushing his ideological agenda the way you do,” Santiago Abascal, president of the Spanish right-wing Vox party, told Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. He pointed out that the Hungarian-Polish success protected the whole of Europe from ideological blackmail.
As a result of successful negotiations, EU payouts will not be tied to left-wing ideology, Spanish right-wing Vox party leader Santiago Abascal said.
He stressed that national sovereignty and political freedom had won against dictatorship. “Hungary and Poland have done us a huge favour,” he said, adding that – thanks to the compromise – no one will be able to use the current health crisis and economic tragedy to force their ideology on others, like Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez had done.
He also mentioned George Soros’s article, in which the US spectulator criticised the German presidency for giving in to pressure by Poland and Hungary. He said the billionaire had criticised the results of the summit because he was “angered” by these two countries’ victory.
