PM Orban: We’ve reached a milestone

By: V4 Agency

Today we reached an important milestone as 2,5 million of our compatriots are inoculated, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said in a new video uploaded to his social media. Mr Orban stressed that the number of those inoculated has increased two-and-a-half fold in one month, so shops can reopen and services can resume in Hungary from Wednesday.

“Today, we reached an important milestone as 2,5 million of our compatriots are inoculated,” Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said in a new video uploaded to social media.

Mr Orban recalled that “we have been living our lives in war-like circumstances, amidst restrictions, curfews and personal losses for a year now.” He said “the virus has launched a war against us and the only weapon offering the potential of victory is the vaccine.”

“We have reached a 2.5-fold increase in the number of those vaccinated in one month,” he said, underlining that this new milestone makes it possible to

reopen stores and restart services from Wednesday.

“We will continue to have pandemic-related measures, please adhere to them! Vaccination will also continue at a similar pace. I am grateful for the work of doctors and nurses and I ask Hungarians to register and have themselves vaccinated,” Mr Orban said.

“Hungary can be, Hungary will be the European country which provides the fastest access to the vaccine to everyone. For us, every life matters,” Viktor Orban concluded his message.
