The solution is the vaccine, which is already within sight, Viktor Orban said after a consultation on Saturday evening. The premier also mentioned that the information about the vaccine is more and more reliable and it may even be available in 90 days.

“Hungary has a good chance to receive vaccines from Europe, China and Russia in time, which, after being tested, will be available to those who want to have themselves vaccinated voluntarily,” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in a video shared on his social media page.

Mr Orban has made this statement after consulting with Hungarian researchers, adding that he already talked to Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz about the Austrian experience. As he put it: Austria “is our laboratory.”

In his radio interview on Friday, the premier pointed out that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and in 90 days we can talk about some vaccine. He underlined that vaccine-related information is becoming more solid.

Mr Orban has also announced that further decisions on healthcare are expected on Monday, which will be made at the meeting of the Operative Board.
