Peter Hampl: “Continuation of current trends will lead to the Islamization and replacement of European nations”

Petr Hampl

Peter Hampl, born on 22 January 1969 in Prague, is a Czech sociologist, doctor of philosophy, patriot and author, whose work focuses on mass migration, Islamisation and the elites hostile to Europeans, that are shaping disastrous policies for our continent. He is also the Executive Director of the Czech Society for Civilization Studies and co-founder of the Friends of White Heterosexual Men. From 2010-2014 he was a lecturer at the University of Economics, after which he worked at Charles University in Prague from 2014 to 2016. Currently, he writes and lectures for a living, as his politically incorrect views have made him unwelcome in universities and mainstream media. We talked with him about current problems of the West, and about his latest book.

For the beginning can you tell us a bit about yourself and your work, and maybe what other thinkers and authors have had the biggest impact on you?

I am a fully qualified sociologist who works outside the university environment. This is actually a return to what sociology was originally intended to be. It was supposed to help normal people navigate  understand some of the contexts that they missed. Nowadays, that means to be able to counter the manipulation of big media, but also the manipulation of conspiracy stories.

In terms of influences, a combination of Anglo-Saxon and Central European thinking. So Karl R. Popper, Charles W. Mills, Peter Berger, Ivo Možný, and of course Thomas Luckman. I also follow Slavoj Žižek. His ideas are not very close to my heart, but I appreciate the way he was able to establish himself in the Anglo-Saxon world.

Recently you have published a very interesting book titled »Breached Enclosure«, which focuses on the islamization of the West and on the new »elites« that are in favour of such colonisation of Europe and the West. Can you give us just a brief introduction into the topics the book covers, and tell us what is the main reason  that the current elites, which you name »the New Aristocracy« are supporting mass migrations?

The book answers three key questions. Why has the West stopped defending itself and allowed itself to be Islamized without resistance? Why has this changed in recent decades? As recently as the 1980s, Western civilization clearly dominated the culture clash. Why is there such a difference in attitudes between social classes? And indeed why the elites behave so strangely. After all, it is historically normal that whoever has the most advantages in society has the greatest incentive to defend it. Now we see the opposite. Those who benefit the most, hate the most.

My conclusion is that the key difference from other eras is the composition of the power and financial elite. There was a time when the ruling class consisted mostly of warriors. Then it was heavily represented by businessmen. Today, it’s bureaucrats. In the civil service, in corporations, in the media, and universities, in churches. They got to the top by being the best at scheming a power games, accommodating, flattering superiors and manipulating subordinates.  Avoiding open conflict. Not attracting too much attention. It requires a combination of high intelligence, scheming and cowardice. Strong personalities are pushed out. Look at the kind of people who run the European Commission today. Who is in charge of Germany and France. But the same human type run the biggest corporations and the biggest publishing houses. How could such people defend their own civilization?

This is illustrated by recent events in the US and elsewhere. There was a time when aspiring elites competed to see who is the best at sword fighting. Now they compete to see who can best kiss the shoes of black gangsters. This is new aristocracy.

How would you describe your political or »ideological« development.? Maybe you could tell us when and under what circumstances did you first began to notice that the Western societies are facing a grave danger about which the mainstream doesnt talk about?

It’s based on the book. We need to stop the mechanisms that are creating a transnational elite completely divorced from the citizens of individual nations that is both pathetic and cowardly. Break up the multinational corporations and return most economic activity to the national and local level. Return political powers to the national level. Restore the promotion of national culture. Each country needs its own defense and control of its own borders. Without this, our civilisation will disappear – as indigenous cultures and indigenous peoples are now disappearing in the UK, Sweden and elsewhere. The risk of following the fate of the American Indians is very high.

This is related to my ideological shift. I went through what many others in my generation went through. In the 1990s, we were enthusiastic about an unregulated global free market. But it was becoming increasingly clear that the world was not behaving according to the model of liberal economics. Instead of enrichment came impoverishment and the gradual decline of most areas of life. But the main impetus came from the waves of migration and the aggressive behaviour of Muslim communities in Europe. It is clear that contemporary Western societies are unable to counter this. That Europeans are heading towards collective suicide. That if we want to preserve lives and freedoms, we must revive patriotism or nationalism.  And that if we want nationalism, we need a strong nation state, including a strong role in the economy.

What are the main differences between the countries that were under communism, such as the Czech Rebublic and Slovenia, and the western democracies that were under the impact of the American liberalism after WW2?

This is an often discussed topic. Why are our societies so different than those of countries with very similar economic and political regimes to the west about us. I don’t think it’s just the experience of totalitarianism. They already have that in the west too. The main difference is generational. There are strong generations of working age people brought up in an atmosphere of patriotism and respect for work and traditional family. Try to imagine what American society would look like if tens of millions of people from John Wayne’s generation were suddenly there in their productive age. How would they view feminism? How would they react to homosexual and pedophile pride marches? What would they say to Black Lives Matter?

Opinions critical toward islam and immigration, as well as globalisation, are deemed »politically incorrect« in the Western world, and are marginalised and censored. How is the situation in the Czech Republic regarding this? Do you face censorship or any kind of media pressure because of your writting and views? Are there any »hate speech« laws in your country?

I’m over this. Until a few years ago I was a university lecturer and was in the mainstream media, including very liberal ones. Now you won’t find any mention of me and being on campus is out of the question. I worked in a factory for a while, and now freelance. I write books and give public lectures for a living. Occasionally there are some problems, like threatening the owners of lecture halls by Pirate party activists. But compared to what’s happening in the West, it’s minor. One can live with it.

Again, a lot of it has to do with generational change. Even though we have hate speech laws, prosecutors and judges over 50 are enforcing them sensibly. The big problem is the incoming generation of activists, officials and judges as well. Many of them have been on internships abroad, have been trained by Soros’ Open Society and want to show loyalty to get jobs abroad. Recently, a young man was sentenced to six years in prison for just two words on the Internet.

How do you view the increasing hostilities between the V4 countries and the Brussels? What are your views about the attacks that countries such as Hungary, Poland and recently also Slovenia are facing from the »New Aristocracy« from Brussels?

The dispute is logical and necessary. Central European countries are “feeding grounds” for Western corporations. They are more exploited than any colony was.  This is made possible by a combination of an educated and very hard working workforce and total domination by foreign ownership.

But that runs into a problem. No global corporation can stop at a certain level of profit. Managers have to report growth every quarter. They need to squeeze more and more out of national subsidiaries in small countries. It’s gone beyond the limit of sustainability. So there is a logical conflict of interest. The people in those countries would need relief and the corporations, on the other hand, need to increase profits.

It is not just a question of one law, whether Hungary will protect the psyche of its children. Nor is it just about migration. These are just individual battlegrounds. There is a struggle for the distribution of political power and further economic development.

That conflict is also reflected within those states. A layer has emerged that belongs or wants to belong to the global elite, albeit in a subservient role. They aspire to be a kind of overseers over the majority of the population. These are corporate executives, urban intellectuals, media professionals, etc. There is a sharp class clash between this layer and the lower class.

You are a co-founder of the White Straight Pride Society,  please tell us a bit more about this organisation.

It’s more of a joke thing. A couple of friends and I thought we’d start an association for those who are members a protected minority. Our meetings are humorous, we drink a lot of beer, but occasionally we have a lecture by a prominent politician or scientist. Occasionally a feminist will come and have a hysterical fit. Which is also fun. It’s harder today than it was years ago, but it’s still possible.

This goes back to what makes our country different from the west. The Czech Republic is a country where the Minister of Justice (a lovely woman, a doctor of law) can say “Men have harassed me all my life. I hope that will continue to be the case.” That would be unthinkable elsewhere. But this widespread freedom may disappear with our generation. Unless there is a radical change.

And will that change happen?

We can’t say. But I show in the book that change is impossible today in most countries because the new aristocracy (the power and financial ruling class) is too strong. Never before in history has any ruling class managed to concentrate so much power. But I also show that conditions are changing. The new aristocracy has strong self-destructive tendencies and is gradually liquidating its own power. Sooner or later we will reach the point where there may be a revolt.

Since the subtitle of your book is »Why the West is being defeated by Islam but may still come out ok« maybe you can tell us how can it turn out ok, and how can we effectively as individuals or small groups fight the current rising catastrophe?

I get that question quite often. It is easy to talk about what presidents and governments should do, but what normal people with limited possibilities should do. There are actually three principles.

First. You work on yourself. Study, train physically, learn to organize events, network.

Second. Be persistent. Expect that the power of the new aristocracy will gradually crumble and that things will be possible that are not possible today.

Third. Build the structures that will allow you to survive even in an economic downturn. Learn a practical craft, build self-suply capabilities, build direct relationships with farmers etc.

And don’t be afraid of radical changes. Continuation of current trends will lead to the Islamization and replacement of European nations. Whatever derails us from that trajectory is good.

For the end tell us if you are planning any new books in the near future?

I’m preparing a textbook on logical thinking and the basics of scientific thinking. Simple, hopefully entertaining, accessible to ordinary people.

This is one of the key battlefields on which the future of nations will be decided. The global new aristocracy is ready and quite well educated. But what about the people? What is at stake is whether a self-conscious class will emerge that understands its interests and acts at least somewhat rationally. Or a rabble plagued by conspiracy theories. And never in history has a mob managed a successful revolution.

If we want to save our world, we need smart and educated lower classes. Which is not historically unusual. In 19th century working-class circles, they studied works harder than most philosophy departments can handle today. George Washingon and other American landowners of his time were better educated than English lords. It was said of the Bohemian Hussites that the common village woman knew the Bible better than the Bishop of Rome. This is something we need to get back to.

So, in a sense, anyone who teaches maths and logical thinking to children from poor families will do more to make a difference than someone who demonstrates in the town square.
