In yet another stellar example of the ‘success’ of the UK’s slack border control, the UK now, for the first time ever, has the contagious disease spreading called Monkeypox. The third case now discovered is a healthcare worker in Blackpool, The Independent reports, according to The Voice of Europe.
The patient has been moved from Blackpool Victoria Hospital to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary in order to be quarantined in isolation in the hopes of preventing the spread of the virus.
The previous two cases of the disease were patients that had each travelled to Nigeria. The facility in the northeast treated the two patients that contracted the virus.
