Today, Foreign Minister Dr Anže Logar received the Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Republic of Slovenia, Archbishop Jean-Marie Antoine Joseph Speich.
Minister Logar and Archbishop Speich reviewed cooperation and called for strengthening relations between Slovenia and the Holy See. Minister underscored the importance of spiritual guidance in these difficult times when the world is faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, and expressed Slovenia’s appreciation for the role of the Holy See in the international community and its efforts in promoting peace, dialogue and understanding among nations.
Minister Logar thanked Archbishop Speich for his activities as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Republic of Slovenia, and reaffirmed the Ministry’s willingness to continue the dialogue.
At the conclusion of the talks, the interlocutors exchanged best wishes for Easter.
