Florida to reopen some businesses on Monday, governor announces
Restaurants and stores in Florida will able to open at 25% capacity starting on Monday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Wednesday.
DeSantis said the order would exclude Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, adding that those counties would be able to enter phase one of the reopening plan “soon.” The state’s stay-at-home order expires on Thursday.
All parts of Florida will be allowed to resume elective surgeries, DeSantis said.
DeSantis called for masks to still be used in “face-to-face business,” but that both restaurants and retail would be allowed to bring in 25% of capacity.
