In the case of the demonstration on Andrássy út (avenue) on the day of Budapest Pride, the curia decided in favor of Előd Novák (party “Mi Hazánk”, “Our homeland”), reports the website of the National Legal Protection Service.
Előd Novák had announced a demonstration on Andrássy út in Budapest on July 25 earlier than the organizer of Budapest Pride. Therefore, the Curia overturned the decision of the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) to reject this demonstration.
As a consequence, the police had to reverse their decision to allow the Pride march on Andrássy út. At the same time, the BRFK took note of the pro-normality rally announced for July 25th on Andrassy Avenue, according to the organization.
