Black votes should count twice

By: V4 Agency

A professor has recently published an article under the auspices of the BLM movement, arguing that the votes of black Americans should count twice.

Black votes in the US should be worth more than other votes, an idea floated by assistant professor Brandon Hasbrouck, who runs courses on racial discrimination and theory. His recent article published by The Nation had a revealing title: “The Votes of Black Americans Should Count Twice”.  Vote reparations would make the world a better place and “empower black communities to replace oppressive institutions with life-affirming structures of equality,” he wrote.

Hasbrouck is clearly dissatisfied with the Electoral College, and – concluding that it cannot be abolished – proposes to “implement vote reparations by double-counting ballots cast by all black residents,” because, as he puts it: “black votes in this country are worth less than white votes.”

Meanwhile public school teachers in Seattle must undergo training courses, all in the spirit of anti-racism. The teachers must first “learn” that they are in fact privileged colonisers of Native Americans’ ancestral lands and acknowledge their “thieved inheritance.”

The training material also draws attention to how schools “spirit murder” the souls of black children every day through “systemic, institutionalised, anti-black, state-sanctioned violence”, and suggests that teachers should put more emphasis on social justice in order to combat racism.
