Austria extended border control on its borders with Slovenia and Hungary by another six months, until 11 May 2021.
Austria’s Interior Minister Karl Nehammer listed migration pressure, safety concerns and Covid-19 as reasons for the move. The measure can be extended based on approval from the European Commission, which has been notified of the step.
