After Russia recognised the separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine as independent, two analysts said that the mostly likely scenario to follow is the annexation of both regions based on the model of Crimea, while they assessed that the possibility of all-out war is unlikely.
They do not expect any European country to decide to deploy troops to Ukraine in the event of a military conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
