The mainstream media has achieved a new feat in framing illegal migrants: the thousands of Africans and Arabs who travel unhindered to Western Europe in the wake of the Ukraine war are now becoming “students” who seem to be in abundance from the black continent in bitterly cold Ukraine.
Old story, repackaged: Passports “lost”
And as with the illegal mass migration since 2015 via the Balkans and the Mediterranean route, the patterns are also repeated here, even if one would like to present this differently to the deluded mainstream media consumer. This is the case in the German “Hessen-Rundschau”, which reports on the “traumatic flight” of dozens of Africans from Ukraine. For example, “students” from Cameroon are said to have fled war twice, once in their West African homeland and now in Ukraine.
The reports of the Africans seeking protection not only complain about the racism of the Ukrainian authorities when leaving the country, but also that they have “lost everything”, including passports and other documents, of course. The Africans have found accommodation in a Protestant congregation in Frankfurt, where they are now “looking forward to an uncertain future”. Whether the stories of the “African students” will ever be examined more closely or even confirmed may in any case be strongly doubted.
Africans leaving women behind, stylized as heroes
Similar Elaborate is left in the left time. There, Africans who fled Ukraine head over heels, leaving children and women behind, are unceremoniously stylized as heroes and victims. Such a “young man”, also from Cameroon, who did not even wait in Poland for his family waiting in Ukraine, but traveled directly to the better social benefit country Germany and now also “faced an uncertain future”. It is also interesting that he was picked up by German “refugee helpers” directly by car from the Polish-Ukrainian border and brought to Berlin. Without problems and controls, of course.
