According to the polls conducted by the American polling company Rasmussen Reports, half of the participants doubt that Joe Biden is »physically or mentally” fit to be the President.
This finding comes after Joe Biden couldn’t remember the name of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and instead called him “the guy that runs that outfit over there”, as the New York Post reported on Monday. The survey about his capabilities was divided into two questions:
“How concerned are you that President Biden has not held a press conference?”
“How confident are you that Joe Biden is physically and mentally up to the job of being President of the United States?”
The results were that 50% of potential voters lacked confidence in his fitness to be the President, 52% were concerned that he hasn’t held a press conference yet, and that included the 32% who were “very concerned”. The summary of the polls by the Rasmussen Reports read as follows:
“More than six weeks since his inauguration, President Biden still hasn’t held his first White House press conference, and half of the voters are worried about his ability to do the job,”
Rasmussen Reports polled 1,000 likely voters from March 4-7 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
