During Economic Forum Closing Ceremony, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Jansa, received the Man of the Year 2020 of Central and Eastern Europe award. The event officially ended the 30th edition of the Economic Forum.
– Today, such people like Janez Janza show us and remind us about the meaning of „Solidarność” Revolution – said Chairman of the Programme Council of the Economic Forum, Zygmunt Berdychowski, in the laudation. The Man of the Year award of the Economic Forum was given by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki.
The Economic Forum Closing Ceremony was held at the end of the third day of the conference. It was led by Ilona Januszewska and Piotr Chęciński, and the official opening was given by the Marshal of the Lower Silesia Province, Cezary Przybylski.
During the Ceremony, the Special Prize was given to the Society of Ukraine, which was collected by the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Denys Shmygal. The laudation was presented by Jan Malicki, director of Centre for East European Studies in University of Warsaw.
During the ceremony, the Polish Economic Forum Prize was also given. Laureates were the President of the Union of Poles in Belarus, Andżelika Borys, and a member of its Supervisory Board – Andrzej Poczobut. Irena Biernacka and Maria Tiszkowska collected the award on their behalf.
